Can I Pursue A Masters Degree And Then Apply To A Joint Jd Program While Doing My Masters?

I will not be ready to apply for Law School for Fall 2010, so I plan on doing a Masters (the deadlines are later)…and doing a joint degree program. Is it possible to do it this way, as opposed to going to Law School and then adding the Masters after?

Many law schools offer joint degree programs where you work on your JD while simultaneously earning a masters in :
    Journalism
    Business
    Finance
    Public Health
    Public Policy
    Foreign Service
Taxation… the list of possible joint degrees with a JD goes on.
They are often a bit more competitve than getting into a standard JD or MBA from the same university though.
Georgetown has good joint degree programs as does Columbia.
I hope you have started gathering materials for applications; you definitely already took the LSAT right?
